What's New and Exciting for 2007

Mountain Brook, AL (November 27, 2007) Fall is when many a cook's fancy turns to the busy and demanding times ahead. Better cooking equipment lightens the load and saves time and effort. This year, CMA members have some outstanding new product introductions which promise empowerment for the novice cook as well as the expert chef. Here's just a sampling!

All-Clad's Deluxe Electric Skillet

The new All-Clad Deluxe Electric Skillet is the perfect vessel for cooking a big breakfast or preparing a holiday dinner thanks to its large 6-Qt. capacity. It has been especially design as to ensure the highest cooking performance and ease of use. The bonded construction with an aluminum center core prevents hot spots in spreading heat evenly across the cooking surface. The wide temperature range (from 180º to 480ºF) allows you to sear or fry, but also to keep your food warm on a buffet, while temperatures are clearly marked on the control panel. Lodge Manufacturing

Nordicware Holiday Tree Bundt--An Award Winner!!

Anne Kornow from Dexter, Michigan captured the $10,000 grand prize for the “Bundts Across America” baking contest sponsored by Nordic WaNordic Bundtre, creator of the Bundt pan. This year’s contest theme was “Holiday Bundts, a pan for all seasons” and Anne Kornow created an original recipe that is melt-in-your-mouth-marvelous! For her winning Bundt cake, Anne also received a trip to New York City to sit in the audience of the Martha Stewart Show on November 15 during the 2nd Annual “National Bundt Day” celebration where she will be recognized for her winning recipe.

“This recipe is truly outstanding,” says David Dalquist, president of Nordic Ware. “It has everything that a prize winning Bundt cake should have, with its nice dense texture and its rich chocolate flavor dramatically blended with white chocolate and mint. It is the perfect dessert to serve families and friends while celebrating the upcoming holidays and one that will assure lasting memories of the time spent together.” Anne Kornow’s winning recipe, “Mint Mountains” celebrates the holiday season using Nordic Ware’s Holiday Tree Bundt Pan.

Tramontina

Tramontina has introduced Barazzoni Butterfly Cookware designed by Claudio Bellini of Italy, Available in copper (copper-aluminum-18/10 stainless steel),
or stainless steel (18/10 stainless steel-aluminum-18/10 stainless steel).
Both exterior finishes feature three-layer (full-clad) vessel, with unique oxidized stainless steel handles.
