Combining a unique background in manufacturing, communication and trade association management, Hugh J. Rushing brings in-depth knowledge to bear on the cookware and bakeware industry.

After college and following an early career in advertising and broadcasting, Hugh spent nearly 15 years manufacturing and marketing consumer products, including cookware. While working full-time as a production control specialist and materials manager, he obtained an MBA with honors. He then spent 12 years as an adjunct professor lecturing to students about marketing and management.

In 1992, Hugh joined the Cookware Manufacturers Association. Under his leadership, the association has expanded to represent every major brand of cookware and bakeware marketed in the U.S. He has a global view of cookware and bakeware and their trends. He’s been a frequent guest and panelist for numerous audiences and an authority on every aspect of kitchenware from materials to marketing. He’s authored numerous articles about the cookware and bakeware industry for many publications.
